Feltmaking: Wet Felted Seascapes and Landscapes
Description
Learn the ancient craft of feltmaking and create beautiful pictures from sheep's fleece. We will be using the softest pure merino wool and incorporating gorgeous textures from other raw fibres such as linen and silk. You will be guided through how to lay out your design and then how to turn the fibres into fabric using warm water, soap and lots of rolling! Come relax, unwind, and let your creativity flow in a cozy and inspiring setting. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make something special with your own hands. Treat yourself and indulge in some me-time with a glass of fizz or soft drink and sweet treat included. No experience necessary, all materials and expert tuition will be provided. Suitable for adults and young people aged 13+ (under 18s should be accompanied by an adult, soft drinks only provided for under 18s - ID may be required). Please note that wet felting is quite a physical process and can be demanding on the shoulders, arms and hands. Also we will be using goat's milk soap in the process.
