Maker
Hello! I’m Laura Danby, an experienced designer, maker and acrylic jeweller based in Brighton. I love to create colourful collections of statement jewellery and craft unique design led gifts. Infused with vibrant colours, uplifting positivity and crafted with attention to detail. I also love to share my acrylic jewellery passion with others and run small group workshops across the south of England and London. With a background in graphic design, I love flat colour, bold shapes, sharp lines and organic forms. Heavily inspired by mid century Scandinavian art, my 80s childhood and music culture! Planet friendly - great care goes into the use of materials and the effect on our environment. The acrylics are 70% recycled and the off-cuts are donated to a local school and broken down for the students to create new projects. No landfill.

The studio is located upstairs, so may not be ideal for anyone with mobility concerns. There are toilets on the sam floor as the studio space.
All materials and tools are provided. However, if you wear glasses for detailed work, please bring them along.
The workshop lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Take your time and enjoy the creative process!
Yes absolutely! No experience is necessary, you will be guided through the process, step-by-step. If you have made acrylic jewellery before, come and make a new design! There are different techniques incorporated in each workshop, so no two experiences are the same.
The workshop is held in a lovely creative studio in Beaconsfield Workshops, 25 Ditchling Rise, Brighton... it is very close to Preston Circus and Preston Park - right under the viaduct! Studio 8 is upstairs and to the left. I will send you detailed directions after booking.
There is no parking at the venue itself, however you can park in the neighbouring streets around - such as Ditchling Rise and the roads off there. Parking is ticketed, so make sure you pay on the 'Pay by Phone' app, or at the machine. OR it is very easy to walk from the station and on many busy bus routes.
