Description
Join our resident upholsterer and textiles maker in this workshop to learn how to make a drum lampshade. In this workshop Ruth will guide you step by step in creating your own 30cm drum shade and you will learn techniques that will give you the confidence to make further shades at home and experiment with your own creative designs. This workshop is the perfect introduction to lampshade making. Ruth will talk about creative lampshade design and encourage you to explore your own ideas on your crafting journey. By the end of the workshop, you will proudly take home your very own beautifully crafted drum lampshade, along with the skills and confidence to make more independently. Whether you have explored crafts before or are new to creative endeavours, this workshop promises to be an enjoyable and satisfying way to unlock a new outlet for your creativity.
What's included in the price?
You are welcome to bring along your own fabric to suit your own style (see fabric requirements below). Alternatively, you can purchase fabric directly at the workshop, where there will be a limited range of beautiful, sustainable printed fabric available. All other lampshade materials will be provided on the day for a professional finish. Fabric requirements if you are bringing your own: Cotton or linen fabric - 100cm (width) x 30cm (height) NB: We strongly recommend medium-weight cotton or linen only, as other fabrics may be more challenging to work with. Stretch fabrics do not work well for drum shades. If you have any questions regarding fabrics, please get in touch.

Unfortunately, we do not have our own designated car park, however there are plenty around Cirencester. The nearest short stay car park is The Brewery Car Park which is approximately 2 minutes away and is a council run pay and display. This car park has several disabled parking spaces too. Sheep Street Car Park is a longer stay car park 3 minutes away, it is a cashless car park facilitated by Pay by Phone. Full details of all car parks and pricing can be found on Cotswold District Council Website.
