Over on evening, two days and two nights, immerse yourself in the world of drawing, guided by esteemed local illustrator and teacher, Dylan Gibson. Benefit from personalised one-on-one tutoring and supportive group sessions designed to enhance your drawing skills.​ 🛌 Luxurious Accommodation & Amenities Your retreat includes a stay at the charming Burmieston Steading. Enjoy full board catering featuring delicious, nourishing meals throughout your stay. Relax and rejuvenate with access to the peace and tranquility of rural Perthshire, 🎨 Comprehensive Art Instruction All necessary materials are provided, so you can focus entirely on your creative journey. The retreat will focus on a blend of experimental play with techniques, structured study and in-depth creative development. Expect to leave with a small portfolio of your work, demonstrating your progress over the course of the retreat.​ No experience is needed, but equally experienced practitioners will also be able to develop their work. 👥 Inclusive and Sociable Environment We welcome individuals, couples, and small groups. Non-drawing partners are also welcome at a reduced rate, which includes all amenities except the art instruction. This retreat offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, perfect for making new friends and enjoying shared experiences.​ 🌿 Outdoor Opportunities Weather permitting, some sessions may take place outdoors in Burmieston’s grounds, allowing you to capture the natural beauty of the surroundings in your artwork.​ 🗓 Course Schedule Friday: 4-5pm arrival at Burmieston 6 PM: Delicious dinner 7PM: A drink and a draw. Saturday: 08.30-09.30 Seasonal breakfast 10-12:30 Morning drawing session 12:30-1.30 Light lunch 1.30- 4:30 Afternoon drawing session including a break with refreshments and cake 4:30-7PM Free time to explore the local area, walk/cycle from the property, read in the Bull box 7PM Delicious dinner, locally sourced and home cooked Sunday: 8.30-9.30AM Seasonal breakfast 9.30-12 Morning drawing session with a break for refreshments 12- 1PM Lunch 1-3PM Afternoon drawing session 3.00-3.30PM Share and discuss progress 3.30PM - Time to go Refreshments, including a selection of teas and coffee, will be available throughout the sessions.​ 👩‍🎨 About Your Tutor: Orginally from Northern Ireland, now living in Perthshire, Dylan Gibson’s artworks have appeared in national and international advertising campaigns. Dylan provides educational illustration, editorial artwork for magazines and newspapers, conceptual work for marketing and storyboards. Dylan illustrates picture books and illustrated stories for older children and reluctant readers and has produced artwork for dozens of books and many more covers. 📍 Venue: Burmieston Farm, Perthshire Located in the serene countryside of Perthshire, Burmieston offers a perfect blend of comfort and peace.
