Description

In this exciting session you will learn how to use paint layers with more detailed free-motion embroidery to create a wonderful artwork of animals. Fantastic for beginners or those looking to develop their free-motion embroidery skills. You don't need to be an artist to participate, we can provide step-by-step guidance. We are happy to teach learners of all abilities and levels of experience. We show you how to choose an image (bring your own animal image up to 7 inch diameter max) or use some of our templates. Create a simple paint layer on fabric (we show you how - it's easy) and then learn how to use a sewing machine with feed dogs lowered to 'draw' and layer stitch. All materials and sewing machines are provided. Sewing machines are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own machine (if using your own machine, it must have the function to 'drop the feed dogs' and come with an appropriate darning foot. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is the case). Machines must be in good working order and have a recent PAT test certificate. We provide images to use, but you may bring your own - these should be no larger than 7 inch diameter. Please bring your own lunch. Maximum of 10 places available.
