Description

During the morning of the course you will be guided to use templates to create a clay tile based upon a William Morris and other interesting designs. More than one piece can be carved to create either a small frieze or individual outcomes. The process will be carefully demonstrated in stages to produce the finished carved outcomes In the afternoon students will explore freehand methods of creating improvised tile design straight into the clay surface using objects and tools. Once dry, your work will be fired ready for you to return to glaze and decorate with coloured . A clear glaze can then be applied to seal the effects. Collection (by arrangement) is approximately four weeks after the course. The finished pieces will make ideal and colourful presents or a nice addition to your table or wall if mounted.
