Join us for a one-day, hands-on campfire cooking workshop in our beautiful woodland setting. This immersive experience will teach you a variety of outdoor cooking methods, perfect for anyone looking to enhance their cooking skills over an open fire. During the workshop, we will explore techniques such as spit roasting a butterflied chicken, using Dutch ovens and building a ground oven for slow-cooking. You'll also learn how to make a smoker to create delicious smoked meats and fish, as well as the art of steaming fish, in the great outdoors. We’ll even guide you through baking fresh bread on the campfire. At the end of the day, you’ll get to enjoy a feast of everything we’ve cooked together, tasting the fruits of your hard work. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about campfire cooking, whether you’re a forest school leader, a small woodland owner, or simply a barbecue enthusiast. Come and join us for a day of food, fire and fun, as you develop skills to take your outdoor cooking to the next level! The course is open to participants aged 18 and above, with younger students allowed by prior arrangement. It runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
