FAQs
I provide teas/coffee/hot chocolate and cold drinks such as water or squash. Fruit and biscuits are on hand. I do ask students to inform me of any allergies or intolerances prior to the workshop, in order to accommodate needs.
There are also multiple local coffee shops situated around the studio, should you be staying in the area for lunch and a spot of shopping.
Whilst I am primarily based in the South West, I do travel to other locations, when the need or opportunity arises.
If you are interested in booking a group session/s for: a party, event, team building, family or colleague group; or would like to commission a mural for a school or community or a public/private piece, please get in touch via the 'message the tutor' button to discuss further.
I do tailor packages for locations outside of the South West. These bespoke packages need to absorb my travel and accommodation costs.
My workshops and classes are inclusive and welcoming. Until recently, I combined tandem careers of working in healthcare and art. My philosophy is that art is a wonderful way of processing our world and experiences. My sessions are relaxing and mindful. I have worked as an artist and tutor since the mid 1990s and regularly work with fabulous little ones, school children, teens and adults, who all bring their own wondrous stories, preferred learning styles and ways of processing. My practice is flexible and adaptable, focusing on each student's varied needs and tailoring my various art sessions accordingly.
I also offer 1-1 and group sessions for SEN, Home Ed or Pathway learners.
Yes the studio is accessible for wheelchair users, but there is no accessible loo, as the loo is located upstairs. There are accessible loos close by to the studio. These include: Peter Street and Petter's Way. Both are accessible with a Radar Key. Additionally, Marks and Spencer's loos are in the Quedam and very close to the studio.
Whether or not you have an arty background is irrelevant. This beginner's workshop is for everyone. Come along and surprise yourself with your unique and amazing creativity.
Yes, there are multiple parking locations in central Yeovil. The closest parking location to the studio is The Quedam, most of which is under cover.
