Description
In this workshop you will start with a plain piece of Anodized Aluminium, colour it, paint it, stamp it, print on it, seal it and then turn it into several beautiful pieces of jewellery! Truly unique and all you! Anodized Aluminium has an almost magical ability to lock a colour into its pores, just by boiling or steaming so that the piece is forever that colour! Truly bright and beautiful colours are possible! I will be running these workshops out of Joy House Creations in Ffos Caerffili as it is the perfect venue! In this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to get creative with a plain piece of Anodized Aluminium – colour it, paint it, stamp it, print on it, seal it and then turn it into several beautiful pieces of jewellery. You’ll leave with completely unique creations handcrafted by you! This is a workshop of two parts where we will start by designing and colouring our metal, then while it seals for approx. 40 mins you can taste some of the wonderful lunch options from the Ffos traders, or try your hand at some pottery painting while you wait 🙂 Once your metal is sealed we will use some traditional metal working tools to cut and shape and transform the aluminium into several pieces of jewellery! There will also be extra materials that you can purchase if you are absolutely loving it and want to create more, but you should have plenty to keep you going 🙂 I will be running these workshops, through July-September on the second Sunday of each month, at Joy House Creations in Ffos Caerffili – the perfect venue for crafting, with views of Caerphilly Castle, and yummy street food neighbours! Aluminium workshops at Joy House are also bookable as a private booking on request. Please message to discuss dates as it has to be a date that works for both Fragment Designs and Joy House Creations. Can’t wait to see the unique jewellery you create!
